Water zinc sulfate is an inorganic substance with the chemical formula ZnSO₄·H₂O. The appearance is white fluid powder. The density is 3.28g/cm3. It is soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, easily deliquescent in the air, and insoluble in acetone. It is produced by the reaction of zinc oxide or zinc hydroxide and sulfuric acid. Used as a raw material for the production of other zinc salts; used for cable galvanizing and electrolysis to obtain pure zinc, spraying agent for fruit tree nursery diseases, and preservative for artificial fibers, wood and leather.
